To use Mobile Session Print, the following components are required on the iOS device:
- iOS from version 12
- A remote desktop app, e. g. Microsoft Remote Desktop or RD Client (left arrow in Illus.)
- The ThinPrint Session Print app for iPad (right arrow in Illus.) and / or iPhone. The app can be downloaded from the App Store – available in English, Spanish, French and German.
- If a self-generated server certificate is used on the Mobile Session Print server: the corresponding issuer certificate – usually the root certificate
The Microsoft Remote Desktop and ThinPrint Session Print apps don’t need to be both installed on the same mobile device. A user can also use multiple devices simultaneously. It is possible, for example, to be working in a remote desktop session on an iPad while printing out the print jobs from an iPhone.
