The HTML5-based management console of Mobile Print server allows for users and printer to be centrally managed, along with the users’ rights, certificates and security settings for access to the corporate network.
- From a workstation, open the following website: https://mobile-print-server-address/fw An HTML5-enabled browser is needed to this.
- Log in to the web-based configuration console of the Mobile Print server with the same admin account (see section Setting up service account) used for the installation.
Note! Problems may be experienced with Internet Explorer if the hostname includes an underscore (_); if so, use a different browser or a DNS alias.
- Proceed as described in the following sections.
Under Control Panel, you will see the individual modules that can be managed using the management console.
Using the Users module as an example, you can see in the following how the management console operates. Just click on Control Panel→ Users. The management console modules are divided into display and editing columns. In the modules Users and Group Templates the existing Users or Group Templates are displayed in the left column. If you highlight at least one of these items, it appears in the corresponding editing column (= second column), actions that you can carry out, e.g. Send E-mail, Get Settings, Remove. The data sets of those items selected in the first column are displayed in the third column, and these can, in turn, be edited in the fourth column.
You can also select other aspects from the tabs in column three, e.g. Printers, Devices.
