Problem:
Windows Photo Viewer printing dialog shows different printer preferences from those you see when opening the printer properties directly in the native printer driver.
Cause:
The Windows Photo Viewer Registry entries have become corrupted.
Workaround:
see solution below
Solution:
The corrupted Registry Keys for Photo Viewer need to be deleted.
Remove the “PhotoPrintingWizard” entry from the following Registry Keys:
Current logged on user hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
All users hive: HKEY_USERS\<USER-SID>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
NOTE: Photo Viewer will re-create the sub keys that were deleted the next time the user logs into their session and opens the printer dialog of the Photo Viewer.
