Using the Show Users option, you obtain an overview of all available user accounts on the license server. You can also partly edit them directly in the TPDU.

Note! To display the users from the license server, you need to be using a domain account that allows you to configure the license server. Generally, this is not the domain administrator, but a normal domain user who is member of the local ThinPrint Configuration Admins group on the license server.

  • You can click on the column header to sort the rows in the table.

Display Name display name of the user account in the Active Directory
User Account user account in the Active Directory
User SID SID (Security Identifier) of the user account in the Active Directory
ThinPrint enabled for printing with ThinPrint
MobilePrint enabled for printing with Mobile Print
Date Enabled date the user account was enabled
Date of License Release end of the 28 day period following the activation of the account
Status: License used (can be remo­ved)

 user has been enabled for ThinPrint or Mobile Print for more than 28 days
 license is counted

Status: License used (bound)

 user has been enabled for ThinPrint or Mobile Print for less than 28 days
 user cannot be removed in TPDU currently
 license is counted

Status: No license assigned

 user is disabled (denied) for ThinPrint or Mobile Print

 user can be freely reactivated or removed

 license is not counted

Status: License blocked

 user is disabled or was removed within 28 days after activation
 user can be reactivated, but cannot be removed
 license is counted

Enable Selected User for ThinPrint

 (re)activate user account
 only possible for Disabled Users 

Disable Selected User for ThinPrint

 disable user account (28 day old licenses become free again)
 only possible for Enabled Users 

Recover Selected User

 restore a removed user account
 possible, regardless of whether a license (within the 28 day period following initial activation) is still blocked
 the user account is then listed with Disabled Users and can thereaf­ter be reactivated

Remove Selected User

 remove a user
 possible for accounts enabled for a minimum of 28 days and for Disabled Users

Save account information in a report

For reporting purposes, you can export the list of users (in the .mht or .csv formats). This is particularly useful for service providers.

  • For this purpose, select File Export User List.

Exporting the user list:

You can then select from the following options:

Menu/Button Description
Complete user list write all user accounts into the report
Filtered users only write filtered user accounts into the report
Show user names write user names from the Active Directory into the report
Anonymous user names write anonymized names into the report
Choose Logo place a specific company logo in the report
Save As save in .mht or .csv format
